Co-curricular Activities

At Scoris International School,we value the students' desire to explore their passions and interests outside of the classroom environment. With a wide range of clubs to choose from, students are able to develop new skills, make friends, and have fun. In this article, we'll take a closer look at the various clubs offered at our school.

Sports Club

For students who love to stay active,engaged and widen their vocabulary scope, our school offers several sports activities like chess, scramble,monopoly,ludo,snakes and ladders.

These activities provide a great opportunity for our students to improve their skills, work as a team, and engage in competitions not only internally(in school)but also externally( out of school.

Zumba Club

If sports aren't your thing, don't worry! Our school also offers Zumba classes by our vibrant coach,Ms.Mariam.

They are a fun and energetic way to stay fit and active.As the Zumba group,our students have had numerous opportunities to perform openly during school assemblys,and other functions like Graduation Day,Cultural Day and Awards Day. We are also looking forward to holding competitive sessions both internally and externally with other international schools come next academic term.

Debate & Writer's Club

The Debate and Writers' Club is a vibrant platform for students passionate about debating, writing, and problem-solving. It encourages critical thinking and skill development, fostering self-esteem, confidence, and proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

The club proudly represented Uganda in the 2024 My World Video Challenge, organized by the British Council, emerging as the country’s best. Building on this success, the club aims to participate in prestigious competitions like the World Scholars Cup 2025 and My World Video Challenge 2025, continuing to nurture excellence and inspire students to reach their full potential.

Interact & Red Cross Club

At Scoris International School, community service is a core value, and the Interact and Red Cross Club offers students an ideal platform to give back.

With an enthusiastic team, the club engages in volunteer work, fundraising, social campaigns, and community service projects. This year, they participated in the Kitezi outreach and visited Noah's Ark Orphanage. They also led impactful Anti-Bullying and Anti-Drug Abuse campaigns. Next term, they plan an outreach to Kawempe Referral Hospital’s Children’s Ward, continuing their mission to promote peace, harmony, and humanity through meaningful initiatives.

Robotics Club

For students interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), our school offers a Robotics Club. This club provides a hands-on learning experience, where students can design, build, and program robots and so much more!. We are looking forward to having more of our students enrolling and engaging in more competitive activities next term.We are excited to inform you that two of our students Neltia Lovelyn Joy(Yr.11) and Kibazo Abigail represented Uganda at the First Global Robotics Competitions that took place in Greece.

Music Dance &Drama(MDD) Club

Last but not least, our school's Music Dance and Drama Club is perfect for students who love to sing, play instruments, or compose music. This club provides a creative outlet for students to express themselves and showcase their talents.We have a well stocked music room with violins,pianos,drums,flutes,guitars,base guitars and so much more.This club has dearly boosted our Monday morning assemblys with various presentations from specific classes each week by singing and playing instruments which has greatly improved the students' self esteem,confidence and team work at and out of school.

Innovative Club

In the innovative club, is where creativity meets community!We look at diverse activities like but not limited to; knitting,liquid soap making,weaving,art work,and so much more.For this term,the club has focused on teaching and learning the foundation knitting skills and we're looking forward exploiting our skills by knitting beautiful pieces and engaging in other items. We believe that a skill learned is never forgotten and given our ever changing world,it's the skills that one has gained that will impact positively not only on an individual but also the community.

Scoris International School Uganda (SISU) is a privately owned institution established to cater for the Early years, Primary and Secondary Levels. It handles students from 12 years to 19 years of age.
